The TomTom PRO 7100 TRUCK keeps the driver safe in the knowledge they have the correct route when they have entered the dimensions of the HGV. The TomTom 7100 Truck will allow you to enter the vehicles Height, weight, length and depth as you would expect.
Not surprisingly there have been some major improvements in the software, these have been added to the latest version at no extra cost.

NEW LIVE Services
Update of fixed speed cameras over the air, users subscribed to TomTom Services now permanently receive over the air updates of fixed speed cameras without the need to connect their TomTom PRO device to MyTomTom.
NEW improvement to the power management
•TomTom PRO switches automatically on when connected to power: With this software version your PRO automatically switches on when you connect it to the power. When you deactivate the option “Device stays on when external power is lost” you can keep the device from battery drainage, as it automatically turns on again when the external power supply is back in place. Note: Your PRO device does not automatically switch on when you connect it to your computer.
•New Battery status screen: This firmware introduces a new screen that gives you full insight into the battery status of your TomTom PRO.
•For cars: You now have the possibility to set a maximum speed for your vehicle. It provides you a more accurate estimated time of arrival.
•For trucks: As the shortest route is not always the fastest due to traffic, traffic lights or road conditions, this PRO software lets truck drivers decide for themselves whether time or distance is more important for their route planning.
NEW dynamic work time calculation
The work time sheet now accumulates the working time constantly. You don’t need to change the working status anymore to see how long you have been working.
NEW easier customisation with MyTomTom
With this software version you can easily customise your TomTom PRO and save time. You can upload POI-files (Point of Interest), icons, voices etc. at the same time. There is no need to do this sequentially anymore.
Guaranted up to date mapping
if a new mapping update is available with 90 days of your first use, TomTom will allow you to download it free or charge the the TomTom business website.

By calculating routes based in this manner, your TomTom sat nav can select the optimal route, saving significant time and lowering fuel cost
Unique map share technology
enhances your navigation experience, because you can now make instant changes directly on your map. You can also benefit from the thousands of corrections made by TomTom users every day with access to the most recent user changes from the TomTom map share database. Plus, with new TomTom map functionality, truck drivers can also make corrections to their map by adding or changing access restrictions for roads based on dimension and weight.
Driver Safety
Equipped with text-to-speech and voice address input, the TomTom 7100 TRUCK increases driver safety by reducing the frequency with which drivers need to look at the display during the journey. Also featuring a help-me menu and hands-free calling, the TomTom PRO 7100 TRUCK further increases driver safety.
