It is assumed that you have printed these Terms & Conditions for retention prior to any order being placed with us.
- All products are supplied with a no-quibble guarantee as stated on each product page and the guarantee is included in the box with the product.
- Goods are not supplied on a trial basis or on a 'use or return' basis - other than where covered by your Right to Cancel.
- In some countries you may have to pay additional taxes and duties on importation and you are responsible for this cost.
- Some countries may outlaw the use and/or possession of the equipment/products we sell. We act as your agent and ship discretely anywhere in the world AT YOUR RISK. If goods are seized by your authorities you will still have to pay the full purchase price.
- Prices include VAT where stated.
- If any fault occurs in the guarantee period we will repair free of charge or, at our discretion, replace.
- We use a secure server to ensure you can guarantee the security of your credit card details. All details are destroyed after use at our end.
- Our Anti-Fraud Technology: Note to would-be thieves: Credit card holder names, card security details and billing addresses are verified to reduce fraud. Anyone caught using a fraudulent credit card number will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and full IP tracing systems are in use to reveal the identity of that person.
Right to Cancel
- You may cancel your order subject to the following conditions :
- You have 7 days to cancel the order from the day after the date of receipt of your goods.
- The cancellation notice from you must be in writing by recorded mail or fax or Email with a return-receipt obtained and it must be dated and sent to our correct business address, fax number or Email address.
- A returns number must be obtained before returning the goods.
- If the goods are not new and unused then a restocking fee may apply dependent upon any damage or loss to product/ packaging.
- Goods must be returned at your own cost and risk - please insure the goods and ensure a signature is obtained for the goods on arrival at our premises.
- You may not cancel your order if any software supplied as the product or as part of the product has been unsealed.
- We will reimburse you the relevant amount within 30 days of the goods being received by us. Refunds will be made to the original credit/ charge/debit card if payment was made by card or cheques written to the original person/ company who issued the original cheque as applicable.
- The Sat Nav Company is happy to refund or exchange a unit within 7 days of the order date.
- The Sat Nav Company is happy to refund or exchange should there be a fault any order within 28 days of the order date. However, after this period the customer will need to contact the manufacturer who may be liable depending on their warrantee policy.
Pricing Policy
Neither the receipt of your order by us nor the receipt of our confirmation of order by you constitutes the acceptance of an order or confirmation of an offer to sell. We reserve the right to limit the order quantity of any item and will notify you as soon as possible of any such action. The Sat Nav Company Limited reserves the right not to do business with any individual or company in its absolute discretion. Subject to the other terms and conditions any order shall only be deemed to have been accepted when we have expressly confirmed that we have accepted your order and have shipped the goods to you.

Complaints Procedure
In the unlikely event of a complaint, this should be addressed either by Email to customerservices@satnavcompany.com or in writing to: Customer Complaints Department, The Sat Nav Company at the company address shown at the bottom of the web page. We will firstly acknowledge the complaint within 5 days and then answer the complaint within 10 days of receiving your email or letter.

Delivery within the UK is by Royal Mail Registered post
Delivery will normally take 2 to 3 working days from the date of your order. However, we do our best to dispatch the unit as soon as we can when in stock. We will do our best to accommodate any special requirements.

UK Military Personnel Overseas BFPO Address
We are able to supply VAT free to UK military personnel overseas, provided that, the purchase is for personal use for the person ordering or official use for the body (i.e. NATO).
(You must confirm which) and, You must provide an authorized order on headed paper (by supervising officer) quoting Article 15:10 of EC Directive 77/388/EEC claiming exemption from VAT
Tax-Free Purchases for non-EU Tourists
If you are a tourist from outside the European Union you are able to benefit from Value Added Tax relief on your GPS purchase whilst in the UK under the Retail Export Scheme.
The scheme works in the following way.
We charge VAT at the point of sale. Ask us for a Retail Export Scheme certificate to be included with your goods. (This is done by ticking the appropriate checkbox at the checkout).
Get this certificate stamped by HM Customs & Excise at your point of departure from the country. This must be within three months of the purchase date.
Return the form to us for your VAT refund. Your refund will be applied to the same credit card as was used to make the purchase less our £5 administration charge for undertaking this service. .
Delivery Liability
If The Sat Nav Company cannot fulfil or deliver your order within these times or have any other problems with your order, we will contact you by email as soon as possible. We will also give you an expected delivery date and allow you to cancel your order if you wish.
Royal Mail delivery liability is reflected in their terms and conditions that they provide us with.
Upon receipt of your order you will be asked to sign for the goods received in good condition. If the package does not appear to be in good condition then please refuse the delivery. If you are unable to check the contents of your delivery at the point of delivery then please sign for the parcel as "UNCHECKED". Failure to do so may affect any warranty claims that you make thereafter.
Failed Delivery:
Once you order has been dispatched and on route, we cannot refund any delivery cost incurred to failed deliveries.
Returns Policy/Warranty
We know that you will be pleased with your purchases from The Sat Nav Company. However, there may be occasions when you will need to return items to us.
If you need to return the goods to us before we can replace them or reimburse you. Backup your data before you send us anything which contains personal data. A return merchandise number (RMA) is issued for either the credit of, replacement of, or repair of products, please be aware that this returns number is active for a period of fourteen days (two weeks) only.
IMPORTANT NOTE - If you don't send the products in question back within this timescale then your returns merchandise number will no longer be valid and your products may be rejected.
Items Damaged in Transit
If any items were damaged in transit, we ask that you report it to us within 48hrs upon receipt of item. If the items are visibly damaged on receipt, it's best to sign the carrier's delivery note accordingly. Items should be returned in their original packaging complete with all accessories and documentation. Once received back into our warehouse, we'll issue a replacement or full refund to you via your original payment method and reimburse your reasonable return carriage costs.
Open-Box Items/Customer returns (Used)
Please note that our open-box (used) stock is sold with 90 calendar days warranty only, and therefore any claims under the warranty after 90 days of receipt will not be accepted.
Non-Faulty Goods
Under the new distance selling regulations you have the right to cancel this contract with "The Sat Nav Company" and return your goods for a full refund within 7 working days from the day after you receive the goods. We will refund the price of the product, less any delivery costs charged. Any goods returned will be done so at the cost of the customer and must be returned to the "Sat Nav Company" address by the customer.
This law assumes that the goods returned for credit have not been used and are in pristine condition i.e. Goods must be in unopened original packaging with no damage to the boxes or equipment. Goods returned for credit which has been opened, with any damage to internal and external packaging will be subject to a minimum 15% restocking charge in addition to postal charges.
Software- Opened software is non-refundable. Faulty software will be replaced.
You can request to return goods after 7 Days with a 25% restocking fee - however this is at the discretion of our Customer Services team.
If it is returned to us in good condition and in its original packaging a refund for the goods will be made by the same payment method and/or the same card that was used to make the purchase. All refunds will be undertaken within seven working days of the return. Please note credit/debit card refunds can take four working days to clear.
Faulty Goods
If your unit is not performing in the appropriate way, could we ask that you undertake a little investigation yourself before contacting us. This is not to say that we are not very good at solving your problems- we are, but it is better for both of us that unnecessary returns are avoided.
If you discover your purchase to be faulty within 28 calendar days of purchase please contact us via email customerservices@satnavcompany.com.
With some products the manufacturer would require the customer to contact them directly. In these cases, manufactures provide a special full on-site service and/or telephone help facilities for your convenience which we recommend you use in order to correct the fault quickly.
Any goods returned faulty (within 28 calendar days) will be repaired or replaced and sent back to the customer carriage free.
Any goods returned for credit which are not found to be faulty will be returned to the customer with a minimum fifteen pound carriage fee and admin charge. You must return the complete package, including accessories to us. Any items that are found to be missing, when the product is returned to us will also be charged for - however this is at the discretion of our customer service team. Any goods returned will be done so at the cost of the customer.
It is therefore very important that all items are checked for a legitimate fault, by the customer.
Please note; Satellite Navigation Systems should only be used as a navigational aid and users should not heavily rely on sat nav systems for routes, speed, highway code etc. Hence any map discrepancies should be reported to the map manufacturer where fixes may be available via updates or anticipated updates. These issues will not be regarded as faults and are not eligible for refunds.
Faulty after 28 days of purchase - if you discover that your purchase has become faulty after 28 day of purchase, but within the manufacturers warranty period, please contact the manufacturer directly. Most items carry 12 month warranty unless otherwise stated.
This warranty does not apply to any defect in the goods arising from fair wear and tear, wilful damage, accident, negligence by you or any third party, use otherwise than as recommended by the supplier, failure to follow the suppliers' instructions, or any alteration or repair carried out without the suppliers' approval. This warranty or guarantee is in addition to your consumer rights.
